From childhood keychains to certified Burmese jade: the story behind Hugh's Collection.

Back in my middle school days, I was fascinated by character tokens. Fictional or not, these characters were my childhood and shaped the way I saw good and evil, strength and weakness, perseverance and kindness. They weren’t just plastic or metal; they were small daily reminders of who I wanted to be.
Years later, life gets busier and more complicated. But the need for small moments of wonder and grounded meaning never disappears. In 2022, I started Hugh’s Collection as a way of recapturing that small moment of “oh, nice!” and sharing it with others.
Over time, that journey expanded from pop-culture collectibles into certified natural jadeite jade and gemstones. Jade carries centuries of quiet tradition—prized not for loud sparkle, but for its inner luster, resilience, and balance. Bringing these two worlds together felt natural: both are about objects that carry meaning beyond their physical form.
